Description:
The Hungary-Serbia Railway is 341.7 kilometers long, built as a dual-track, electrified railway for passenger and freight services. It cost $2.89 billion USD and can operate at speeds up to 200 km/h, with two sections: - Hungarian Section: 158.7 km - Serbian Section: 183 km The Novi Sad section includes two reinforced earth retaining walls totaling 459 meters. Novi Sad Railway Station: A 325-meter-long wall runs next to Track 6 at Novi Sad Station, from kilometer 77+000 to 77+325, minimizing land use for new platforms. Novi Sad Stadium: A 134-meter-long wall runs from kilometer 0+783 to 0+917 near the stadium, avoiding land disputes.
This project supports China-Central and Eastern Europe cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to improve transit efficiency and economic connections.
