Description:
The Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall Project for the Qingdao-Rongcheng Intercity Railway includes two construction sections located in Jimo (Qingdao) and Rongcheng (Weihai). The project features a total length of 1,100 meters and a maximum height of 9.3 meters for the retaining walls. Notably, it is China’s first Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall Project designed for a high-speed railway.
Benefits: Using high-density polyethylene geogrid saves 1/3 to 1/2 of the investment compared to traditional concrete structures. The cost of reinforced earth retaining walls is lower than that of conventional concrete structures, resulting in significantly reduced construction costs.
