Description:
This project is in Tianjin city. The Hai River is in front of the sluice, which is one of China's main rivers, and the Xinkai River is behind it. We chose a wall system that reduces harm to the environment while blending in with the local scenery. The Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall combines the features of E’GRID Geogrids with segmental concrete units. The retaining wall is built at a 90° angle and has a prefabricated concrete face. Its outer surface is coarse and mimics a natural appearance. Using EG grid-reinforced soil saved 30% of the total costs. The polymer reinforcement allowed us to use on-site fill instead of bringing in backfill from elsewhere.
Benefits:This design offers a stable, cost-effective, and pleasing solution that enhances the area's beauty. This method required less digging and reduced the need for imported fill.
