SPARK - Road and Bridge Project

Description：Saudi King Salman Energy City (SPARK) is located in Burgan, Eastern Province, near Dammam Third Industrial City. It covers about 50 square kilometers and will be developed in three phases as a key part of Vision 2030. The Burgan Eastern Road and Bridge Project, 50 km from Dammam, will connect SPARK to the Dammam Expressway. It includes 18 km of main roads (11.8 meters wide), 2.2 km of connecting roads (11.8 meters wide), 693 meters of MODON roads (10.8 meters wide), and three bridges. Saudi Aramco has strict supplier requirements and focuses on local suppliers. We recommended Mattex, a certified geotextile distributor, as the EGRID-Mattex dual-brand supplier. We facilitated Mattex's communication and audit with Aramco, allowing them to join the supplier shortlist. This project enabled China Harbour to source locally and allowed EGRID products to be used in Aramco projects, setting the stage for future supplies to both Aramco and SPARK.
Benefits:The SPARK Logistics Zone will act as a vital hub linking SPARK to global markets and facilitating efficient cargo movement. Once operational, the project is anticipated to contribute over $6 billion annually to Saudi Arabia's GDP and create 100,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
